Innovating Series Episode 3

By C&J

In our quest to innovate, it is common to get lost in the maze of brilliant ideas. Often, by the time we get out of it, when we have finally managed to understand the concept, it has already darkened, time and resources-wise.

We need, then, to give continuity to this work, to give it a purpose, because otherwise it will be disjointed and isolated knowledge.

The dawn will surprise us exhausted: we had forgotten that the true driver lays in the problems we sought to solve at the beginning.

Fiona Murray, Associate Dean of Innovation and Inclusion at the MIT School of Management, describes it with a brilliant summary: innovating is the process of connecting a problem with impactful solutions.

When innovating, the beginning should always be the problem. Impactful solutions are the outcome. And the connection is those ideas and concepts. So, let’s not waste any more time and keep track of it.
