We face a future where resources, their efficient use and management are going to be strategic elements. Before this scenario, we must ask ourselves whether traditional approaches to technological innovation based on growth are going to be sustainable.<\/p><p>Innovation must activate the basic research generated to stimulate the capacity to generate solutions with a tangible impact on society.<\/p><p>Inspired by <strong><span style=\"color: #c16764;\"><a style=\"color: #c16764;\" href=\"https:\/\/lpbreva.mit.edu\/\">Luis P\u00e9rez-Breva<\/a><\/span><\/strong> in a response to an RFI from the <strong><span style=\"color: #c16764;\"><a style=\"color: #c16764;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/\">U.S. National Science Foundation<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, it is necessary for innovation processes to be sustainable.
